Grounded · 15–25

Grounded

You don't recognise much of yourself in these patterns, and that's a strong place to be. That doesn't mean you never question yourself. Every leader does. The difference is that those moments don't define how you lead. You don't spend long questioning your judgement or tying your worth to your performance. You recover quickly because your confidence comes from something deeper than your last success. If one or two of the questions made you pause, don't ignore them. Sometimes the biggest shifts happen long before anything feels like a problem. You're not rebuilding; you're simply becoming more intentional about the way you lead. The work now isn't about proving yourself. It's about protecting what you've built within yourself.

Aware · 26–36

Aware

A few of these patterns are beginning to show up. Not all of the time, but often enough for you to notice them. You might find yourself second guessing a decision you've made, looking for reassurance you didn't used to need, or working harder then feels necessary. Nothing has gone wrong; in many ways this is a really positive place to be because you've started to notice what is happening. Awareness creates choice. The more responsibility you carry, the easier it is for these patterns to become part of how you lead without your even realising. This is a godd time to get curious before those patterns become your default. Once you can see a pattern, you have a choice about whether it continues to shape your leadership.

Established · 37–47

Established

These patterns are becoming part of your day to day experience of leadership. From the outside, you're probably still doing well. People trust you, they rely on you and they see someone capable and successful. Inside, things feel different. Decisions seem heavier than they used to and you spend longer questioning yourself. Achievements don't bring the sense of satisfaction they once did. Nothing about this means you've become less capable. It may simply be that the identity which helped you build this success, no longer fits the woman you're becoming. This pattern isn't asking you to work harder, it's asking you to lead differently.

Deeply Patterned · 48–60

Deeply Patterned

These patterns are no longer occasional, they've become the way you're experiencing leadership. You're still delivering, very capable and very often the person everyone turns to. It comes at a cost and taking far more out of you than anyone else realises. You keep proving something you've already proved and continue carrying responsibilities that don't all belong to you. You keep pushing hard because slowing down doesn't feel like an option. This isn't a reflection of your ability. It's a sign that you've outgrown the identity that's been carrying your success for so long. You don't need to become someone different, it's about giving yourself the space to lead from a different place. You've spent years becoming the leader everyone else could rely on. It may be time to become someone you can rely on too.
